Office Network Problems We Fix

WiFi drops out in parts of the office

One consumer router trying to cover the whole floor, often through double-brick walls. We add or reposition access points so coverage is even.

Shared files are slow or missing

Shared drives that disconnect, permissions nobody understands, or a NAS that has not been updated in years.

Printers that vanish from the network

Printers and scanners that only work for some people. We give them a fixed address and connect every computer to them.

Customers on the same WiFi as your PCs

Visitors and staff phones sharing the network with your computers and files. We separate them with a guest network.

A new office with nothing set up

Moving in or starting out? We set up the router, WiFi, computers, printers and accounts so the team can work from day one.

Old router, no firewall updates

Equipment running years-old firmware and default passwords. We update or replace it and lock it down.

What Office Network Setup Includes

Business router and firewall setup
Network switches for wired desks
WiFi access points as one seamless network
Separate guest WiFi for customers
NAS and shared drive setup with permissions
Network printers and scanners for every computer
Secure remote access for staff working from home
Passwords and settings documented and handed over

How Office Network Setup Works

1. Site visit and coverage test

We walk the office, test WiFi signal and speed in each area, and look at the equipment and network points you already have.

2. Recommendation and quote

You get a plain-English recommendation. Any equipment, such as access points or a business router, is quoted before we buy it.

3. Install and configure

We install the equipment, set up the WiFi, guest network, printers and shared drives, and connect every device.

4. Test and hand over

We test coverage in every room, show your team how it works, and leave the passwords and settings documented.

Office Network Setup Pricing

On-site network setup is $205 per hour including GST, with a one-hour minimum and no separate call-out fee. Changes we can make remotely, such as adding a user to the WiFi or adjusting a firewall rule, are $125 per hour, also with a one-hour minimum. We tell you the expected time before we start, and equipment is quoted separately before anything is purchased.

If you would rather have the whole network looked after for a monthly price, see our business IT support plans.

What we don't do: we don't run new data cabling through walls or ceilings, which needs a registered cabler. We work with the network points you already have, and if you need more we tell you where they should go so you can brief a cabler.

Office Network Setup FAQs

How much does office network setup cost in Perth?
Network setup is billed at our standard on-site rate of $205 per hour including GST, with a one-hour minimum. We give you an estimate of the time before we start. If you need new equipment such as access points, a switch or a business router, we quote it before we buy anything.
Do you run data cabling?
No. Running new cable through walls and ceilings needs a registered cabler. We work with the network points and cabling you already have, and if you need more, we tell you exactly where the points should go so you can brief a cabler.
Can you fix WiFi that keeps dropping out in our office?
Yes. Office dropouts usually come from a single consumer router trying to cover too much space, too many devices on one access point, interference, or a modem running old firmware. We test the coverage room by room and fix the cause, which is often better placement or a second access point rather than a full replacement.
Can you set up a separate guest WiFi for customers?
Yes. We set up a guest network that gives visitors internet access while keeping them away from your computers, printers and shared files, with its own password you can change whenever you like.
Do you set up network printers and shared drives?
Yes. We connect printers and scanners so every computer in the office can use them, and set up shared folders on a NAS or in Microsoft 365 or Google Drive with the right permissions for each person.
Do you support small offices only?
We focus on small offices, shops, clinics and home offices across Perth. For larger sites, or projects that need new cabling, we will tell you honestly if a specialist installer is a better fit.

No Fix, No Fee applies to standard remote and on-site technical support where we are unable to resolve your issue. It excludes hardware repairs, does not guarantee a resolution within the minimum one-hour visit, and does not cover additional labour time or parts, which remain payable. Where additional work is quoted and not accepted, No Fix, No Fee does not apply to that work.
